The collection of information useful for the research and development process is essential for a pharmaceutical company like Teva Italia, whose main objective is the health and well-being of patients. For this reason, collaborating with health professionals, specialists, general practitioners, health technicians, nurses and pharmacists is part of the daily work necessary to respond to people's care needs.
It is a collaboration that has already been well regulated for some time: these relationships, in fact, in addition to being governed by national and international standards, are based on mutual respect for roles and are placed in a transparent framework of strict ethical rules dictated by Farmindustria and guaranteed by precise investigative procedures presided over by magistrates indicated by the President of the Court of Cassation, as well as by the rules and procedures contained in the Assogenerici code of ethics.
The growing need for transparency and the ever-evolving digitization process move Teva Italia today to take a step further. From 30 June we have made available on our website the economic data relating to the collaboration relationships referred to the previous year with healthcare operators and organizations. Absolute transparency is the watchword that we are implementing now through the publication of the names of the healthcare professionals (even in associative forms) with whom we collaborate and the relative amounts paid to them for the aforementioned collaborations.
Teva Italia has in fact accepted with full conviction the Code on transparency (disclosure) implemented by Farmindustria, in implementation of the EFPIA Code (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations) and by Assogenerici, in implementation of the MEDICINES FOR EUROPE Code (European Association of Pharmaceutical Companies of generics and biosimilars).
The collaboration between drug companies and doctors is divided into various areas of activity, all aimed at sharing best clinical practices and exchanging information to better understand the therapeutic needs of patients and the treatment options available:
The data relating to transfers of value published here are those indicated by Art. 5 of the Farmindustria Code of Conduct. The publication of such data takes place according to the Model defined by the Code, taking into account the exclusions established by Farmindustria itself.
